I am inquiring about the cortisol result. It gives a total rather than an am and pm reading. My question is how do I record that?

The Cortisol Total is either an AM or a PM value. It looks as if this was a fasting test so we presume that the result is an AM result so put this value, 22.2 in the Cortisol, AM slot in the software.

You will notice that the lab reference range for AM is 4.0 - 22.0. This is the same lab range for Cortisol, AM in the software.
