How do we know we are getting a real picture of the individuals underlying dysfunction if that individual is on medication that would ultimately alter their readings?

That’s correct, medication may correct some of the biomarkers that indicate dysfunction and therefore the software would consider that corrected biomarker “normal”.

For example, diabetic meds or insulin may correct elevated fasting blood glucose, anti-inflammatories may correct or improve hs-CRP)

However, some biomarkers may still uncover dysfunction e.g. C-peptide levels indicate endogenous insulin production regardless of exogenous insulin administration.

The software does not diagnose or take into account corrective therapies so it is always important to look at the entire clinical picture.

This will include an in-depth history of each client along with a complete profile of current medications and supplements.
