I'm interested in the ODX Optimal Ranges can you tell me a bit more? Do you have research on them?

Thanks for your interest in the ODX optimal ranges. Yes, we do have research and are currently systematically reviewing the most current literature and compiling it into an updated ODX Biomarker Handbook, which we will be releasing to the ODX community when it is complete.

Besides basic knowledge content from medical and nutrition textbooks, we use the most current peer-reviewed research to confirm or update the ODX optimal ranges.  When a biomarker review is completed, we release a short blog post on the ODX Research blog to keep the ODX community up to date on our findings. We will do this until the entire handbook is completed.

We are aware that there are other influencers in the FBCA space and have a list of the references that they have used. We review each and every one of their references in our exhaustive review and in some cases incorporate the findings in our handbook entries. However, in some cases, there is additional literature that supports an optimal range that may not exactly match their ranges. Also, we have used optimal ranges from some of the early pioneers in FBCA that Dr. Weatherby has personally studied with including Harry Eidenier, who is considered one of the grandfathers of FBCA. These practitioners have had many years of clinical experience working with optimal lab ranges and Dr. Weatherby has incorporated information from many of them. In some cases, the ranges we use from these early pioneers are not substantiated by research. We will do our best to substantiate them with a thorough literature review but in some situations, their ranges were made using clinical observations after examining thousands and thousands of results. In these cases, we will make a note that the range is based on clinical observations.

The more technical biomarker reviews are posted in the Research Blog:  https://www.optimaldx.com/research-blog. These posts are released when the handbook entry has been completed. Please check back frequently to get the latest updates or consider subscribing to the ODX Research Blog. You can do this on the blog page.

If you have a specific marker in mind, let us know and we can tell you where we are on the review process for that marker and can provide some of the foundational references used to review or update optimal ranges.

Thanks again for your inquiry and we look forward to providing you with the research and information you are looking for.
